(no subject)

Still sick, feel like my throat is jammed with something that's scraping it raw all day, head heavy, eyes burning. But at least I don't have a fever and moontime is over so I'm not bleeding anymore. I'm trying to take advantage of the fact that I can rest since I'm unemployed. But it sucks not having the energy to do the things I want to do, like write. And it sucks not being able to meet friends because of not yet being cootie-free. At least I'm better enough to start responding to comments and post here.

Asked by matsushima: Do you like your name? If you were to choose a new name, what would it be and why?

My real name is Uma. It's the name of a goddess who eventually reincarnated as Parvati and chased and caught the god Shiva. I like the name because I like romances about women pursuing men (hence my love of k-drama) and also because Shiva is definitely the sexiest of the Hindu gods. He's the least judgemental and most inclusive of them all.

If I were to choose a new name it would be the name I use online and use as my author name: Mynah. I like the name because I like birds, and because I chose it. I'm always going to prefer something that was my own choice. I feel like a Mynah. Feel like it suits me.
